What fits inside?
CANISTER 135 holds one standard 35mm / 135 still photography cartridge, fresh or exposed. Or anything else you’d like that fits.
CANISTER 135 includes the stainless steel body, threaded cap, and one fitted silicone gasket, presented in a cylindrical gift box. Film and camera are not included.
How do shipping and returns work?
Every U.S. order ships free. Orders ship in 2 to 5 business days from Gig Harbor, Washington, with tracking by email; carrier delivery usually takes 2 to 5 business days after that. For Christmas 2026 delivery in the contiguous U.S., order by Thursday, December 10. For international orders, contact hello@archive135.com before ordering.
Request ordinary returns within 30 days of delivery; the canister must be unused and in its original condition and packaging. Customers pay ordinary return shipping. Archive 135 covers return shipping for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. Contact us before sending anything back.
What makes CANISTER 135 different?
The body is milled and turned from one piece of 304 stainless steel, then polished. A separate machined cap has diamond knurling for grip and a fitted silicone gasket.
At 122g, CANISTER 135 is deliberately substantial. Its appeal is the finish, weight, and feel of a reusable object for one cartridge, on your desk or in your bag.
Why does CANISTER 135 cost $98?
Because it is machined, not molded. The body is turned and milled from one piece of 304 stainless steel, then polished. The separate cap is machined with diamond knurling and a fitted silicone gasket. It weighs 122g and carries a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
U.S. shipping is free, it ships in 2 to 5 business days, and you can return it within 30 days. The plastic ones work great. These just look better. Compare 35mm film cases.
What protection does it provide?
The gasketed closure helps resist dust and incidental moisture during normal use. It is not waterproof, airtight, or suitable for submersion.
It is not climate-controlled and does not protect film from heat, X-ray, or CT scanners. Keep film cool and dry, and ask for hand inspection when traveling with important rolls.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a soft cloth, avoid harsh abrasives, keep the threads clean, and check the silicone gasket periodically.
