PRINTABLE 35MM FILM SHOT LOG

A frame-by-frame exposure record that prints at true size: a pocket card for the bag, or a band that wraps the cartridge and rides inside the canister. Fill in the camera and stock before printing, or leave it blank.

Leave fields blank to print an empty log. Set the print dialog to 100% scale, not "fit to page".

Why keep a shot log

A roll can wait weeks between the last frame and the scans. Without a record, a great negative tells you nothing about how you got it. Aperture, shutter and a word per frame is enough to learn a camera, a stock, or a light meter. It is also the only way to know that frame 22 was the one you bracketed.

Which format

The pocket card lives in the bag or a notebook and has room for a proper note per frame. The cartridge band lives on the roll itself, so the record and the film cannot be separated; wrap it, tape the tab, and the banded cartridge still drops into CANISTER 135. Both print at true size on US Letter or A4 with the print dialog at 100 percent.

Six rolls at a time

For a trip, the one-page film roll log tracks stock, EI, camera, date, status and lab notes for six rolls. Use it alongside this log, one line per roll there and one card per roll here.
