What it is for

The shot log records frames. This records rolls. On a trip the question is rarely what aperture frame 14 was; it is which of the nine rolls in the bag are fresh, which are exposed, and what the lab needs to know about each. One line per roll answers that, and the sheet lives with the canister until the scans come back.

How to use it

Print it before you leave and number the rolls as you load them. Move each one along the status column as it goes from fresh to exposed to the lab. Write the push or pull on the line so nothing depends on memory at the counter. The trip-organisation guide walks through the routine this sheet was made for.
